Website Redesign for Jardar Systems

Jardar Systems, Inc. came to us for a website redesign to get their dated website modernized and loading quicker so they can get on a new marketing plan.  By switching their hosting to our website design company, they now have their website, domain, and emails managed in one place. Until now, this air pollution control company has gotten all of their business through word of mouth and repeat clients. They have recently decided to expand their business through Google Ranking and paid ad campaigns.

Here’s how this project rolled out:

If Google recommends it, then it becomes law for our web development team. Google recommends using PageSpeed Insights to improve your user’s experience on both mobile and desktop devices. Due to how important a fast loading page is now, this is one of the first things we look at when a potential client comes to us. As you can see from the screenshots below, Jardar System’s old website did not have a passing PageSpeed Score.

Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) is important to look at because it marks the point in the page load timeline when the page’s main content has likely loaded. A fast LCP helps reassure the user that the page is useful. For a good user experience, Google recommends your LCP score is 2.5 seconds or less. Jardar’s old website took 7.6 seconds to load.

First Contentful Paint (FCP) is a user-centric metric for measuring perceived page load speed. FCP measures how users perceive the performance of a website, rather than what a speed test tool measures. A good FCP score to provide a good user experience is 1.8 seconds or less. Before the redesign, Jardar’s website was scoring at 5.1 seconds.

Total Blocking Time (TBT) measures the total amount of time that a page is blocked from responding to user input, such as mouse clicks, screen taps, or keyboard presses. The sum is measured by adding the blocking potion of all long tasks between First Contentful Paint and Time to Interactive. Any task that executes for more than 50 ms is a long task. The amount of time after 50 ms is the blocking portion.

Speed Index measures how quickly content is visually displayed during page load. This means when a customer would go to their homepage, the page wouldn’t load for nearly 8 seconds.

It’s a common misconception that a website will be successful if you only focus on Search Engine Optimization (SEO). While proper SEO plays a vital role in a high performing website, it’s only successful when all the other steps have been properly met (website structure, the platform that it’s built on, loading time, etc).

Now that we had a properly structured website for Jardar Systems, our team had to start from scratch on SEO. The old website design had very limited content, and didn’t offer any SEO. Our Keyword Specialists chose the most relevant keywords for their industry, and our content creators implemented them in the write-ups. After the website was ready for final review, the Jardar Systems partners went through the new website demo and adjusted content as necessary.
